BTSense is an Android app for logging building-moisture measurements taken with a Bluetooth LE moisture sensor. This policy explains what data the app processes and how.
BTSense has no server of its own, no user account and no registration. Measurements, notes, reports and photos are stored exclusively on your device (a local database and app-internal storage) and are never transmitted to the developer or any third party. The app contains no analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs.
With your permission, the app determines your current GPS location when you save a measurement (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION/ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) to pre-fill the address field. To do this, the app sends the coordinates to the geocoding service configured on your device (typically Google, if Google Play Services are installed) via reverse geocoding and receives an address back. The resulting address is then stored only locally with the measurement and can be freely edited or cleared before saving. The location permission is optional — the app works fine without it, you just fill in the address field manually.
Photos you attach to a measurement (camera or gallery selection) are resized/compressed and stored exclusively in the app's internal storage on your device — not in your general photo gallery, and not in any cloud. They leave the device only if you actively export and share a report as PDF or CSV.
The app needs Bluetooth permissions (BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT) to connect to the BM31WP moisture sensor. This data never leaves your device.
The INTERNET permission is used exclusively for the reverse geocoding described above. Without location sharing, the app makes no network requests at all.
If Android's Auto Backup feature is active on your device, Android backs up the app's own data — encrypted — to your own Google account, not to the developer. You can disable this for the app in Android Settings.
Since all data is stored only locally on your device, you can delete individual measurements, photos and reports at any time directly in the app. Uninstalling the app removes all remaining data from the device completely.
Since no data is transmitted to or stored by the developer, there are no access or deletion requests to make beyond deleting data on your own device. If you have questions, you can reach me at the email address below.

BTSense ist eine Android-App zur Protokollierung von Baufeuchte-Messungen mit einem Bluetooth-LE-Feuchtesensor. Diese Erklärung beschreibt, welche Daten die App verarbeitet und wie.
BTSense hat keinen eigenen Server, kein Nutzerkonto und keine Registrierung. Messwerte, Notizen, Reports und Fotos werden ausschließlich lokal auf dem Gerät gespeichert (Datenbank bzw. app-interner Speicher) und nicht an den Entwickler oder an Dritte übertragen. Die App enthält keine Analyse-, Tracking- oder Werbe-SDKs.
Mit Ihrer Erlaubnis ermittelt die App beim Speichern einer Messung den aktuellen GPS-Standort (Berechtigungen ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION/ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION), um das Adressfeld vorzubefüllen. Dafür sendet die App die Koordinaten per Reverse-Geocoding an den auf dem Gerät konfigurierten Geocoding-Dienst (in der Regel Google, sofern Google Play Services installiert sind) und erhält eine Adresse zurück. Die ermittelte Adresse wird anschließend nur lokal in der Messung gespeichert und lässt sich vor dem Speichern frei bearbeiten oder löschen. Die Standort-Berechtigung ist optional — ohne sie funktioniert die App normal weiter, das Adressfeld muss dann manuell ausgefüllt werden.
Fotos, die Sie einer Messung hinzufügen (Kamera oder Galerie-Auswahl), werden verkleinert/komprimiert und ausschließlich im app-internen Speicher des Geräts abgelegt — nicht in der allgemeinen Galerie und nicht in einer Cloud. Sie verlassen das Gerät nur, wenn Sie selbst einen Report als PDF oder CSV exportieren und aktiv teilen.
Die App benötigt Bluetooth-Berechtigungen (BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT), um sich mit dem BM31WP-Feuchtesensor zu verbinden. Diese Daten verlassen das Gerät nicht.
Die Berechtigung INTERNET wird ausschließlich für das oben beschriebene Reverse-Geocoding verwendet. Ohne Standortfreigabe findet kein Netzwerkzugriff durch die App statt.
Sofern auf Ihrem Gerät die Android-Auto-Backup-Funktion aktiv ist, sichert Android app-eigene Daten verschlüsselt in Ihrem eigenen Google-Konto — nicht beim Entwickler. Sie können dies in den Android-Systemeinstellungen für die App deaktivieren.
Da sämtliche Daten nur lokal auf Ihrem Gerät gespeichert werden, können Sie einzelne Messungen, Fotos und Reports jederzeit direkt in der App löschen. Eine Deinstallation der App entfernt alle verbleibenden Daten vollständig vom Gerät.
Da keine Daten an den Entwickler übertragen oder von diesem gespeichert werden, bestehen keine über die Löschung auf dem eigenen Gerät hinausgehenden Auskunfts- oder Löschansprüche gegenüber dem Entwickler. Bei Fragen erreichen Sie mich unter der unten genannten E-Mail-Adresse.
